You Choose Where Care Happens

Have your consultation at Sigma Anamosa or in Cedar Rapids. If you proceed with surgery, choose Cedar Rapids or UnityPoint Health – Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa. Dr. Privett’s scheduling team arranges the procedure after your consultation.

Follow-Up Closer to Home

Routine after-surgery visits can typically be completed with Dr. Gurgel or Dr. Somogy at Sigma. If your recovery requires direct review by the surgeon or another specialist, we help coordinate it.

A cataract can cause blurry or faded vision, glare, halos, or trouble driving at night. Your Sigma doctor can evaluate the change, discuss whether cataracts are affecting your daily life, and help determine when a surgical consultation makes sense.

Call 319-462-4891. We can help arrange the appropriate evaluation and send the records needed for your consultation. After you meet with Dr. Privett, his surgical scheduling team handles the procedure date and location.
